Loca
Loca is a new concept in Mexican dining and drinking, opened in October 2009 and has had the critics raving ever since. Mexican food outside of Mexico has always been synonymous with ‘Tex-Mex’ fast food style eateries. Loca has broken that mold. Our chef hails from Mexico City, and our menu boasts some authentic dishes from all over that part of Latin America.
Loca has a variety of settings for dining, drinking, watching sport or live music, or just socialising with friends.
Loca was designed by Heineken’s lead restaurant and bar designer in Holland - Ferry Tabeling. Loca is styled around an urban industrial design with exposed brick features, riveted iron girders, heavy solid wood tables, hard flooring and chunky Chesterfield leather furnishings.
One of the key features to the design is the ‘Heineken Extreme Draught’ beer concept, bringing the beer tap from behind the bar to the table top. Guests can order a chilled 10lt keg (18 pints) of Heineken and enjoy serving friends at a shared or private
‘tap table’, the only format of it’s kind in the Middle East. The design has an edge to it with masculine detailing and materials but the overall ambiance is warm and informal and appeals to a broad cross section of clientele.
Loca is owned and operated by Sho Cho Facitilies Management Services llc. The full SCFMS team is compromised of talented young and energetic people who have all been with SCFMS over the years and have become part of the success.
Since it's launch in 2009, Loca has become the place for the cool, trendy international crowd, as well as families, to spend their days and nights eating award-winning Mexican cuisine and sipping on premium fresh fruit margaritas.
